Infinitive vs. Gerund after adjectives

Post by Rustamsher »

Hi Mr Alan!

(a) It was really nice seeing you again after almost two years.
(b) It was really nice to see you again after almost two years.

I have two questions:

1) Can we consider (more or less) (a) more informal and (b) more formal?
2) Is there any significant difference in meaning?

Thanks,
Rustamsher

Both are acceptable, but (a) is slightly less formal.
