Hi, NET in Korea here needing a bit of grammar help to explain to Korean coteachers... I'm getting asked what is the difference between "I knew some of the tips, but I did not think about them seriously" and "I knew some of the tips, but I did not think them seriously".
To me, "think them seriously" sounds weird and should be "take them seriously"...am I wrong in that assumption? I've just never used or really came across "think them seriously".
I've kind of thought that in this situation, 'think' needs a preposition to further clarify it, making "think them seriously" incorrect. The verb 'take' doesn't have the same limitations.
Would that be right?
