regret

Post by hanuman_2000 »

Hello,

1. I wish I was not so rude to my teacher.

I have to change it into reported speech using "regret".

1.a) She regretted that she had not been so rude to her teacher.
1.b) She regretted that she had been so rude to her teacher.

Which one is correct?

Thanks.

b, of course, although the original should read 'I wish I had not been...'
