Hello everybody!
I've been really confused with this sentence in an article. I'm seeking to find what does it really means. I'm really appriciate if any body can help me.
The sentence is: "I sort of felt my heartbeating very quickly." I don't undrestand what does "I sort of felt" really means?

‘Sort of’ in this sentence can be replaced with ‘kind of’ and the meaning remains the same. Or, you can remove it with no loss of the meaning of the sentence.
‘Sort of felt’ could mean that the person is not 100% certain their heart was beating very fast. Or, the moment that the person became consciously aware their heart was beating very fast was a gradual one.
Note: the adverb should be ‘fast’ not ‘quickly’.

"I sort of felt" is similar to saying "I think I felt."
