not only-but also

Post by hanuman_2000 »

Hello,
1.Not only did he exceed the speed limit, but he had also consumed alcohol. (rewrite in a simple sentence)

A. Besides exceeding the speed limit, he had also consumed alcohol.

Is 'A' correct?

Thanks.
