Capitalization

Post by FortOtt »

When I was in pre-kindergarten we had nap time after lunch recess. The three students who slept the best were awarded cookies afterwards. The teacher called it the best rester award or the award for best rester. I know I have to put quotation marks around best rester, but does best rester have to be capitalized? Or no, because it was something just made up by the teacher and not official.

The award for "Best Rester"

The "Best Rester Award"

The "Best Rester" award

None is standard English, but #1 sounds the most natural.
