object relative pronoun--where

I came across this sentence "Isn't that the place which kids under twelve can't enter?". I've been thinking about the use of "which" in this sentence, shshould "where" be used instead of "which"? the sentence should be "Isn't that the place where kids under twelve can't enter?" as where is the object pronoun to replace enter"the place", using "which" is totally wrong as it is replacing the object for place. Could any grammar guru help solve the puzzle? Thank you!

The same is when you say :the place which I visited. We don,t use where unless we use a preposition to refer to this place . Like we say it is the place where I go or the place where I live. To and in were used in these two examples to refer to a place before we used where.
