I am still stuck in finding the answer for the question. Can you differentiate between response and reply?

In general a response is a reaction to something.
A reply is a response to a question.

A reply is one kind of response. A reply is in words (spoken or written) and goes to the originator of the question or stimulus. A response can be any kind of action, including words, and may or may not go to the originator of the stimulus.
