Which one of these two sentences are correct?

Post by mcaroline »

1. I've decided to take a break from English for a bit, and focus on Spanish instead.

2. I've decided to take a break from English to focus on Spanish instead.

I feel that the second one sounds more natural, but it doesn't reflect that I took the break for a short time. Should I add?

I've decided to take a short break from English to focus on Spanish instead?

Thank you!
