Will be died out?

Post by McKinney »

Hi Alan,

My teacher told me that "the koala will be died out in 2050" is not correct and that I have to say "the koala will have died out in 2050". But I can say "My house will be built in 2021".

Can you please, please explain why one is correct and the other one is not. :-?

Thank you!

'Die (out)' is intransitive, and therefore has no passive.
