Which of these two sentence sound better:


"Hand in hand with his mother who was pushing him with large steps, the little boy didn't yet want to leave his friend's birthday party."

or

"With his hand held by his mother who was pushing him with large steps, the little boy didn't yet want to leave his friend's birthday party."
