Charity, being one of Islam's Five Pillars, is an important element of Muslims' daily lives all throughout the world. Giving up free time to help those less fortunate than ourselves is one way, but donating Zakat and continuing charity (also known as Sadaqah Jariyah) are two more ways that Islamic teachings prioritize generosity in the larger society.
