singular or plural [a strong memory] or [strong memories]

Post by ansonman »

I have made up the sentences below.

(1) Even though I am in in my forties, I still have a strong memory of my childhood.

(2) Even though I am in in my forties, I still have strong memories of my childhood.

Which form of "memory" is correct? Thank you for your help.
