Hi everyone,
I'm looking for advice on how to engage students who are reluctant readers. I've tried a few different strategies, but I'm still struggling to find something that really works for some of my students.
What have you found to be effective in getting students interested in reading? Any specific activities, book recommendations, or classroom practices that have made a difference?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

A rewards system tends to work, there needs to be an incentive.
For students who are uninterested in any beneficial gain, you should figure out their interests and try to find materials that align with it. For example, with some of my primary students, they were fascinated with mythical creatures. I used that as a basis for reading content and writing activities.
