Consider the following sentence:
"She climbs to her feet, her hands on her hips."
Does the phrase 'she climbs to her feet' imply that she was previously in a seating position?

Re: climbs to her feet
To me, “climbs” implies that she is using her hands to move up (from somewhere), so her hands could not really be on her hips.
