Question about TOEIC Score

Post by ehouse »

Hi everyone 👋
I’m currently preparing for the TOEIC test in Vietnam, and one thing that confused me at first was how the scoring system works.

I knew the TOEIC total score ranges from 10 to 990, but I wasn’t sure:
What score is considered “good”?
How much is enough to pass job requirements?
What’s the CEFR level equivalent (A2, B1, B2)?

Luckily, I found this Vietnamese article that explains the TOEIC scoring system really clearly, especially for local students who want to understand where they stand:
👉 https://ehouse.edu.vn/thang-diem-toeic/ (TOEIC Score Conversion Chart – 2025 Update)

The article is written in Vietnamese, but if you're a local learner or can read the language, it's incredibly helpful. It’s published by https://ehouse.edu.vn/, a reputable English training center in Vietnam known for its focus on TOEIC and communication skills. The article also includes a detailed chart to convert Listening and Reading scores into your total TOEIC score, along with suggestions on what score ranges to aim for based on your goals, whether it's graduating from university or applying for a job.

Hope this helps any fellow learners here. If anyone has other TOEIC resources or score tips, feel free to share! 🥰

Learning and taking exams on topics are becoming extremely important as foreign language trends become more demanding. So how can people with no background like me learn effectively? Is it difficult to register?

I think you can sign up for an online course but depending on your own learning ability, you will easily get discouraged. I think it is best to find a center and sign up for a course so you will know which direction to go.

Hey, don't worry, it is not that hard. Of course, we have "no background" when we first learning English. You may want to start with basic grammar: parts of speech, tenses, and other structures. Then learn the IPA phonetics to know how to pronounce English correctly, then work with vocabulary, and work with the A2 band first.
And you can find someone to help, maybe a tutor!

Hope that can help! :)
