What color Vs In what color

Post by BrownBear » Sat Mar 10, 2018 5:10 pm

I read in a book this sentence:
“What color are you going to paint room?”

Can I say “In what color ... ?”

In I use “in” at the beginning of the sentence will it be correct?

Thank you.

'What colo(u)r', without preposition, is the idiomatic adjectival/adverbial form of the phrase.
