Group in company name and use of 'the'

Post by AaronMcGowan »

Hi all

I work for a company with "Group" in the name (for example ADS Group).

For the last 4 years I have been calling the company "The ADS Group". This just seemed like the correct way to say it. I've found out today that no-one else including the MD says this - they always say "ADS Group". For example"I'm calling from ADS Group"; this sounds incorrect to me.

Does anyone know the rule on this?

Apologies for the bad grammar in my post.

Cheers
