why use on " week day " ?

why use on " week day " ?

i'm new english student

i have a question about week days
why we use For example On Monday ?
why not use in Monday ?

anyone can explain me for this ?

We say "on Monday" and not "in Monday" because "on Monday" is English. Even Americans say "on Monday". :mrgreen:

We use:

at for a PRECISE TIME
in for MONTHS, YEARS, CENTURIES and LONG PERIODS
on for DAYS and DATES
