English Grammar

Post by Mathis » Thu Nov 28, 2019 2:51 pm

Dear All,

Please let me have a question.

In this sentence: "Let's look at ways to build vocabulary using these four key aspects of language",
What is the grammar point of using word "using" in the sentence? Why should it happen like that?

Regards,
Mathis

'Using' here is a present participle, introducing an effectively adverbial phrase (= BY using....).
