Smartphone Pros and cons

Hey guys, I am wondering whether if you would allow your children (if you have) to use a smartphone?

Because of your Smartphone, you are available for your friends and Familie, and obtain the important notifikations, we are dependant on it, i cannot imagine to be without it. Life without mobilphone means cutting loose from people, keeping oneself out. Without Smartphone, we haven´t got the access to the world outside, and cannot get informed on time about what ist happening. People would be nearly disabled, nothing works and we would have to live on fishing and Hunting.
But children should use it with restriction, though, they wouldn´t do their homework otherwise.
