I've encountered this very often, too. There are many ways to build up your English vocabulary, which I have already tried. One way is to make a conscious effort to notice new words and write them down. Then, look up the definitions of these words and try to use them in conversation. Another way to expand your vocabulary is to read as much as you can. This will expose you to a wide range of words that you may not encounter in everyday conversation. Additionally, try to find books, articles, and other resources that are specifically geared toward helping you learn new words. Finally, don't be afraid to ask for help when you come across a word that you don't know. Many people would be happy to explain the meaning of a word or help you practice using it correctly.
