And if it does, what does 'output' mean?

I think you probably mean "input", meaning contribution, help, ideas etc.
For example: We don't get much input at our meetings from the other members of the team.
"output" is indeed a word, but it means the amount of work or something produced by a person or machine.
For example: Output from the mine reached its maximum in 2021.
