(1) I would be as happy to meet him as not.
(2) I would be just as happy to meet him as I would be happy not to meet him.
(3) I would rather be happy to meet him than not to meet him.
Question: Is (1) grammatically correct? If so, which does (1) mean, (2) or (3)?

Yes, and it means ’I would be as happy to meet him as I would be (happy) not to meet him’ (i.e. I do not care whether I meet him).
