Hello,
I am a native english speaker, 36m. I was never a big reader until the past couple of years. I often find it very hard to express myself and form my thoughts into sentences unless i sit down and write it out. I believe working on my vocab would be a good step for me. Any ideas how to approach this outside of just reading the dictionary?

Re: Advice for expanding my vocabulary?
Received wisdom seems to be that the best way to improve vocabulary is through sustained reading. And that would be reading of the classics, even if they are in translation (to English).

If you aren't a big reader, I suggest watching!
I usually find some TED talk or some channels that have 'explain your questions' type of content, and learn from them.
And it's okay if you don't have the right words every time you want to express. You can first practice by writing it down when considering the right word choice. And my tip is to always use a dictionary to look for new words and their synonyms, as well as their antonyms. My way to expand my vocabulary is to expand my synonyms and antonyms.
