Having Trouble with Pronunciation? Here’s a Free Tool to Help

Post by Ankitsharma »

Hi everyone,

As an English learner, I’ve always had trouble pronouncing certain words—especially ones that don’t sound how they’re spelled! (Worcestershire, Colonel, Debris—anyone else? 😅)

To make pronunciation easier, I built a free tool where you can type any word and instantly hear its pronunciation in different accents (American, British, Australian, etc.). 🔊

👉 Try it here:https://pronounce-web-j2m6.vercel.app/

I’d love to hear your feedback! What are some English words you’ve found tricky to pronounce? Let’s discuss! 👇

Watching shows is a great way to pick up pronunciation, especially in a formal and informal setting.

Hi Ankitsharma,

Thank you so much for sharing this amazing tool! As an English learner myself, I completely understand the struggle with tricky pronunciations—words like Worcestershire and Colonel have definitely tripped me up too. 😅 Your tool sounds like a game-changer, and I can't wait to try it out!

I just checked out the link, and it's incredible how you've made it so easy to hear pronunciations in different accents. This will be such a helpful resource for so many learners. I'll definitely share it with my friends who are also studying English.

By the way, I run a forum for English learners called Let's Learn Together! It's a space where we share tips, resources, and experiences to help each other improve. I'd love for you to visit and share your tool there. I'm sure the community would find it incredibly useful! You can also join the discussion and share your thoughts on tricky pronunciations or anything else related to learning English. Here's the link to the thread:

As for tricky words, I've always found February, regularly, and rural a bit challenging. How about you? Are there any words you still struggle with, even after creating this awesome tool?

Thanks again for creating and sharing this. It's clear you've put a lot of thought and effort into it. Looking forward to hearing more about how its helping others!

All the best,
Behnam, 23 February, 2025

Hi Behnam,

Thank you so much for your kind words! Your comment truly made my day. 😊 It’s always amazing to hear from people who find the tool useful, especially fellow language learners who understand the struggle of tricky pronunciations.

I’m really glad you checked it out and found it helpful! Your forum, Let’s Learn Together, sounds like a fantastic community, and I’d love to share QuickPronounce there. It’s great to see people supporting each other on their language-learning journeys.

As for tricky words—oh yes, they still get me sometimes! Words like "rural" and "squirrel" can be surprisingly tough, even after working on this tool. 😅 What’s your secret to mastering difficult pronunciations?

Looking forward to joining the discussion and learning from everyone in your community. Thanks again for your support!

Best,
Ankitsharma
