Meaning

to continue doing whatever you're doing

For example

  • I've already worked for eight hours, but I'll keep going until I've finished.

  • The band usually stops playing at midnight, but they kept going because everyone was having such a good time.

Note:
We usually use "keep going" in this sense when we've already said what the action is, or when the listener already knows what it is.
