Meaning

You can say this if you strongly disagree with someone, or strongly object to what they're doing.

For example

  • "The Saints could win the premiership next year."
    "Come off it, Matt! They haven't got a chance."

  • Jenny showed her boyfriend the price tag on the dress. "Come off it, love!" he said. "Do you think I'm made of money?"

Note:
This is very informal, so never say it to your teacher, your boss, etc.
