Meaning

You can use this to tell someone you'll try to do what they've asked you to do.

For example

  • "Can you fix my computer?"
    "I'm not sure yet, but bring it over and I'll see what I can do."

  • "Do you think you can get Bill to donate some money?"
    "I'll see what I can do, but he's already helping lots of good causes."

Note:
Sometimes shortened to "I'll see" if the meaning is clear from the context
