You can say this when you have to repeat what you've told someone because they haven't accepted it.

For example

  • Alfie tried asking her out again, but she said, "Thanks Alfie, but like I said, I'm not ready to date yet."

  • Linda asked again the next day, but her boss still refused to give her time off. "I understand, Linda, but like I said, it's not a good time just now."
