Meaning

You can say this if someone makes a negative statement that's also true for you.

For example

  • "I don't like getting up early."
    "Me neither. I'd much rather stay in bed."

  • "I'm not going to work today."
    "Me neither. I don't feel well."

Note:
A statement is negative if it contains a negative word like "not", "never", "don't", "can't", "haven't", etc.
