Meaning

You can say this if you're annoyed with someone and you're pretending not to care what they do.

For example

  • "I don't feel like visiting your mother again. Hospitals depress me."
    "Please yourself. I'm sure she won't mind!"

  • "I can't be bothered voting. It's a waste of time."
    "Please yourself. I guess all those people who fought and died for your right to vote shouldn't have bothered either!"
