Meaning

You can say this when telling someone what you know so far, when there could be other facts you don't know.

For example

  • "Is Ben still in New York?"
    "As far as I know, but he could've left without telling me."

  • "Everyone's coming, as far as I know."
    "Lizzie isn't. She just called and told me."

Note:
Also "as far as I'm aware" and "to the best of my knowledge"
