You can say this instead of "There is", "There are", "There can be", etc. when describing what exists or happens at a certain place or time.
- "What's it like there in winter?"
"Really cold. You get days when you can't even go outside!"
- "People are always saying how bad things are."
"I know. You get a lot more people complaining about things these days, don't you?"
Also "we get", as in "We get forest fires here in summer."
He said, "You get more people in the park on Sundays." This means on Sundays
