Meaning

You can use this to remind someone that anything's possible in the future.

For example

  • "It could be a mild winter or a really cold winter. You never know."

  • "I don't think I'll ever find the right man."
    "You could meet the perfect guy tomorrow, Jules. You never know."

Note:
Also "you never can tell", as in "You never can tell what they'll do."
