class warfare

Meaning: class struggle, or efforts to have wealth and power shared more equally among different social classes

For example:

  • Whenever we talk about increasing the mimimum wage, we're accused of waging "class warfare".

  • What's wrong with so-called "class warfare" if it helps solve the problem of inequality?

Note: Mostly used by wealthy or conservative people when referring to efforts made by progressive people to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.
