Meaning: to fall asleep

For example:

  • I'm really tired so I'm gonna crash. I'll see you in the morning, OK?

  • Jimmy got a bit drunk so he crashed out on the sofa and spent the night there.

Note: Often used when referring to someone who falls asleep at a time or a place at which they don't normally sleep, or to someone who falls asleep due to exhaustion or intoxication.
