I could add that most often, families get together and take it as an occasion to have a special supper with the whole family if possible (grand parents, uncles, aunts, etc.). When it comes to teach children, I think they first need an "amusing approach" in order to want to learn. The younger they are, the easier it is to approach material with games or songs. If they are older (8 years old for instance), you can still think of using fun songs that are not too complex for...
