Looking for pen-pals from around the world

Hi all,

My name is Teodora Zareva and I'm a first-time, 8th grade (13-14 yr olds) ESL teacher from Teach for Bulgaria. I've only been in the classroom for two weeks, but I would really like to give my kids the opportunity to communicate with other real people from around the world. I would like to start a pen-pal project but I would need your help to guide me through it because I don't have any experience yet. I teach Freshmen English at Perris High School (Perris, California)- United States. Our student population is made up of about close to 80% Hispanics of which most are bilingual in English and Spanish, 5% Caucasian, and about 11% African American, and less than 5% make up other nationalities.
