Looking for TOEIC students

Unread post by toeicsensei »

Hi,

I am quite new to online teaching. I wondered if any other teachers new of an online school that specialised in helping students with the TOEIC (and other tests like TOEFL). I feel this is where I have the most experience.

Online teaching seems to be picking up a lot it seems. I have found a couple of sites online that recruit teachers but nothing dedicated to the tests.

Thanks, in advance.
Hi, I teach English online. I have been a teacher in Japan for many years and I specialise in helping students with TOEIC. http://www.toeicteacherskype.co.uk

Warning Caledonian: by Paul A Alvarez H.

Prague- The Caledonian School is a British registered, Czech owned language institute in the Czech Republic. It has various campuses scattered throughout the country and they offer, amongst other things, a teaching course (TEFL).

The Program is, like many others, a month long certification program. It is run by an American expatriate, and consists of various workshops and teaching practices run and supervised by different teachers.

Having recently and successfully completed the program, I must strongly dissuade anyone interested in obtaining their certification abroad from doing so through this particular program.

I keep saying this. Search throughout the internet for employment TEFL,TESL, TESOL and read what the employers are asking for. With the majority it will be Cambridge CELTA, TKT, or Trinity. Some simply ask for a relevant degree. Problem is linguuist or TESOl degrees are quite rare with those seeking EFL employment.

The employers might not state this specifically, but all courses that language centres use are based on TOEFL or Cambridge exams such as KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, or IELTS. In fact I believe IELTS has overtaken TOEFL in international English qualifications. In Europe Cambridge is more popular and TOEFL is hardly known.
Have a search for Pearsonlongman elt coursebooks. This site will show you all the course books that language centres and efl teachers use.
