I have seen the word abase in dictionary and it has been mentioned that abase should be used with only object. I do not know what that mean?
Can some one give me example for how abase is used with object and not used with object. Thank you

Re: usage
He is eating. (there is no object)
He is eating rice. ("rice" is the object)
Some verbs always need an object, like "abase". Since "abase" needs an object, I cannot give you an example of "abase" not used with object. But in normal usage, "abase" is typically used with "oneself" or "herself" or "themselves" etc as the object, since it is usually something that you do to yourself:
Example (with object):
Jonathan abased himself before the judge. ("himself" is the object)
He is eating rice. ("rice" is the object)
