FCE collocations and general exam prep

Unread post by Dosed » Wed Apr 01, 2015 1:10 pm

Hey everyone,

I was hoping to find some materials online for the Use of English FCE exam paper, but it's proven more difficult than I first thought. I found a few free resources but many of them lacked the answer keys and I don't want to spend my time doing a million exercises. Does anyone know or have any good exercises to help students with common verb/noun collocations.

Thanks!

The best way to go is to for the original contact. and that is http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/exams/first/
You will find a useful teacher's handbook there, complete with a paractice test for your students. It is advisable that you ensure that you and your students are supplied with course books in preparation for fce, if they are young school students search first (FCE) for schools.

Another contact for good coursebooks is pearsonlongman elt. worth searching for all your teaching supplies, and you will find a local supplier.

Freebies? try downloading a free torrent downloader such as qbittorrent, and searching. But beware, it is your responsibility for wrongfully downloading copywright material. I personally recommend that your students purchase hard copy course books.
