I'm new to the forum. I was wondering if anyone had advice for me. I signed a one year contract to teach at a company. They did not tell me that one of my students had a problem with uncontrollable outbursts of laughter at inappropriate times. He often covers his mouth in an attempt to control it. I cannot teach a class of 11 students with such a distraction. He even laughed when another student explained that she was absent for two weeks because her father died! Another student has autism and is obsessed with counting things, interrupting class because he has to write the exact words i say (every single one!), and saying the words several times to himself rapidly. What should I do? I have experience teaching special needs students, but not as a group. Thank you for your help. Also,.the company did not inform me that anyone in my class had a condition.
