looking for a good advice

Hi everyone,
My 9th grade students don't like to study poems at all and I'm finding it difficult to make it more exciting or interesting for them. Can you please tell me what to do?

Hello Samar,

I would suggest to incorporate movie clips , lyrics and listening activities. Try to find poems that are actually a a song and ask students to sing along once in a while. As for the other poems , find ones that are relative to 9th graders ( with topics such as love, friends and etc) . Always aim for a active class and ask your students to share their thoughts and ideas and maybe personal experience ( within the limit , of course ) .

Good luck :)
