Children's Books Suggestions

Unread post by EmCar »

I have a girl who's 10 years old with a reading level comprehension of about 8-9 years old. She is able to read more complex words, but the books I give her can't be mini novels yet, they have to have plenty of pictures. Any suggestions?

I'm sure you will find something suitable in any graded readers series:
Penguin Readers
Macmillan Readers
Oxford Graded Readers
or Oxford Bookworms (although I think they're aimed at older students)

We use Fitzroy Readers at my school in Japan (http://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/learners/)

They're from Australia, and the workbooks aren't the best. But the graded reading is really good.
