Share ESL activities and materials online

Unread post by creativechalk »

Hi,

My name is Stein Setvik. My wife and I are ESL teachers in Japan and just launched a website to help ESL teachers share teaching activities and materials online. It's completely free. You can browse lots of different activities, preview them online, and download and edit them to fit your needs, all for free.

It's called Creative Chalk (http://creativechalk.com).

Our vision is to give flesh to the idea that your best resource is other teachers.

Also, we're running a contest until October 22nd to help seed the site with more great materials and get feedback on your professional needs as an ESL teachers (so we can build tools to help meet those needs).

Enter to win one of two $35 Amazon.com gift certificate. Simply fill out a short survey and upload one or more ESL activities/materials that you use and rely on.

So come check us out, let us know what you think, and share your resources with other teachers who visit the site.

Hello

I signed up and will upload some of my material soon. I am giving a Cambridge BEC Preliminary course right now, so I'll make new worksheets as well...

Thanks for the hint!

I have a new website at http://www.barryfunenglish.com

This site is full of materials and teaching tools that I have developed and been using in my classroom for the last 2 years. It is designed for teaching ESL to elementary school students.

It has been designed to be very easy and fun to use. It is the best ESL site for use in classrooms with multimedia capabilities.

On this site you can play fun flash games designed for the classroom. Use the vocabulary viewer and teaching tools.

You can also print free flashcards and worksheets.

Everything is completely free!

Check it out!

Here I suggest a free game to teach and learn vocabulary: It is called WetMan Vocabulary game.

WetMan is a new kind of hangman game. So you don't need to hang poor men
just to learn a few new words. There are more than 3000 different words in
groups. You can make your own word group. This is good to review learned words
in English classes. You can select more than one group of words and have fun
with extra bonus letters and funny animation. Native speakers of Englsih can
also test their vocabulary range with advanced word categories.

IMPORTANT: Do not erase the "words.txt" file. Because you may need to make your
own word group.
