A book with no objectives.....

Unread post by myvidentity »

Hello All,

I have taken an upper-intermediate course, but the students' level is elementary in practice. The main problem is the book, since neither does it contain any grammatical points, nor dialogues to work on. Each lesson has two parts. The first part starts with a series of vocabulary items which have been included in the two listening sections being followed by and the second part of the unit has the same items, but it has two reading comprehension parts. Thanks god I know their first language and some of the times I can switch to their L1 and illustrate the points. It is absolutely frustrating to teach this once in a week 5-hour-long class with two 15-minutes-long breaks.Any suggestion would helpful! :( :( :(

Thanks in advance!
Ali.
