Hello fellow teachers!
I am teaching abroad in Germany this year and I am hoping to do a poetry "slam" with my 8th-10th graders, where basically they choose a poem and practice reciting it expressively and then perform for each other. I'm looking for suggestions for poetry books to use as resources for the kids. So far my ideas are:
Shel Silverstein: Where the Sidewalk Ends
Edward Lear: Owl & the Pussy Cat
A.A. Milne: When We Were Young
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
