Can you by any chance explain to me if friendly can be adverb?

It's a while you've asked the question, I hope I can be of help:)
Since an adverb modifies a verb, friendly could be used as an adverb too, besides its use as an adjective. But it's simply not correct English..
Look at the example:
She spoke to him friendly.
Much better to say:
She spoke to him in a friendly manner or She was friendly when speaking to him.
