Volunteer ESL Teachers Needed for New ESL Website

Unread post by gbailey » Thu Aug 14, 2008 11:08 pm

We are currently seeking ESL teachers as volunteers to help build lessons, games, tips, etc. for a new ESL website, “We Learn Free,” launching in October 2008. Our initial student-base resides in Thailand, so we expect thousands of Thai-speaking students to sign on soon. The first phase of the site is aimed at Beginners, but there are plans to expand to Intermediate and Advanced students.

We Learn Free is supported by The Justin M. Dart Foundation, http://justindart.net

The Justin M. Dart Foundation is committed to ensuring that access to education is not restricted. We believe in the power of community to encourage every person to reach their personal and professional goals. We Learn Free is a manifestation of that belief, creating a network of teachers and students from across the globe who are excited about the ever-expanding potential that lies within each of us to increase our understanding of the world.

The director of the foundation, Justin Dart, has spent many years teaching and learning in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is his experience that has inspired his determination to create an on-line learning community that will revolutionize the way students from around the world approach education.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or if you have any questions, please email gail@tcgagency.com

Please send a short description about your teaching experience, teaching interests, etc.

We are also looking for illustrators or those with design skills to help create visuals for the lessons, as well as volunteers to help with audio recordings for listening activities.

Thank you!
